Description
Dahlia Jive is a striking Anemone Dahlia that brings vibrant colour and character to the summer garden. Its flowers feature bright red outer petals surrounding a prominent, fully double centre in warm shades of orange and golden yellow. This distinctive flower form creates a beautiful contrast and gives Dahlia Jive a cheerful and eye catching appearance. The open flower structure is also attractive to bees, bumblebees and butterflies. This Anemone Dahlia flowers abundantly from July until the first frost and reaches a height of approximately 120 cm. Dahlia Jive thrives in a sunny position with fertile, well drained soil. Its strong upright growth makes it ideal for borders, cutting gardens and as a colourful accent among perennials. Regular deadheading encourages continuous flowering throughout the season. Dahlia Jive is also an excellent cut flower. The distinctive blooms last well in a vase and add warmth and playfulness to floral arrangements. The combination of bright red and a golden yellow centre pairs beautifully with yellow, orange, burgundy and deep purple dahlias. Although the tubers are not hardy and should be lifted before winter, they reward gardeners every year with months of spectacular blooms.
